What cookies are

They are small files that a website stores in your browser to remember something from one page to another, such as the fact that you have signed in. Here we explain which ones buceo.app uses, what for and how long they last.

Necessary

The website doesn’t work without them. They don’t need your permission (Spanish Law 34/2002 on information society services, art. 22.2), but we explain them anyway.

  • sb-…-auth-token

Statistics

Only if you accept them. They tell us which pages are visited, where people come from (for example, from a search engine) and at which step they leave something half-done, so we know what to improve. They are provided by PostHog, with the data stored on servers in the European Union.

  • ph_…_posthog
    Who
    PostHog (servers in Europe)
    What for
Telling one visit from another without knowing who you are. It's also stored in the browser's storage
    Duration
    1 year

If you don’t accept

We don’t store any statistics cookies or anything else in your browser. We only count visits anonymously: PostHog calculates a temporary code on its servers that changes every day and doesn’t reveal who you are, and it doesn’t store your IP address. We do this on the basis of our legitimate interest in knowing how much the website is used; if you don’t want even that, you can turn on your browser’s «Do Not Track» option and we won’t count your visits.

What we never send

  • Your name, your email or any data from your account: the statistics don’t know who you are.
  • What you type in forms, your documents, your health declaration or your requests.
  • The page’s text or the identifiers that appear in addresses: they are removed before leaving your browser.
  • We don’t record what you do on screen and we don’t use the statistics for advertising.

Who PostHog is

PostHog, Inc. (USA) provides the service on our behalf, under a data processing agreement, and stores the data in the European Union. If it accessed the data from the USA, it would do so with the safeguards of the GDPR (EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses).
