Who provides buceo.app
buceo.app is a service of César Comeche Ramos. Contact: contacto@buceo.app. More details in the legal notice.
buceo.app is an intermediary
buceo.app is a portal where dive centres publish their dive schedules and people who dive can browse it and request places. buceo.app only puts people who dive in touch with centres. It does not organise dives, does not provide diving services and is not a party to the agreement between the person who dives and the centre.
- Each dive is organised and provided by the centre that publishes it, which is solely responsible for it.
- When the centre accepts a request, the agreement about the dive is between the person who dives and the centre. The centre sets its own conditions (price, equipment, meeting point, safety rules, cancellation) and gives the final confirmation.
- buceo.app’s email notifications are for information only: if one doesn’t arrive or is delayed, what was agreed with the centre still applies.
- buceo.app does not check the identity or age of the people who use the website, or the authenticity of the certifications, insurance, medical certificates or other documents uploaded, and it does not offer or take out diving insurance.
Payments, cancellations and complaints
- buceo.app does not charge or handle payments. The price and payment are agreed and made directly with the centre.
- Cancellations, changes, suspensions (for example, due to the weather), refunds and no-shows are governed by each centre’s conditions and are resolved directly with the centre.
- Complaints about a dive or the centre’s service are addressed to the centre, which must handle them in accordance with consumer law.
- If the person who dives doesn’t turn up, cancels late or doesn’t pay, or if a centre cancels or changes a dive, buceo.app is not liable for it or its consequences.
Obligations of centres
Whoever accepts these terms for a centre declares that they are authorised to do so on its behalf. By accepting them, the centre acknowledges that:
- It is solely responsible for the service it provides and for dealing with its customers: accepting or declining requests, charging, cancelling, refunding money and handling complaints.
- It complies with the regulations that apply to it as a diving business (licences, compulsory insurance, safety, consumer law and complaint forms) and is answerable for this to its customers and the authorities.
- The website doesn’t allow a place to be requested without valid diving insurance and health declaration (or without a medical certificate if the declaration requires one), and gives a warning when the person requesting a place doesn’t meet the certification, depth or specialities. This is only a first filter, based on what that person declares. If the person has ticked in their profile that they will take out day insurance with the centre, they can request a place without their own insurance: the centre sees this in the request and decides whether to offer it, at what price, or to decline the request. Checking the documents and deciding whether to accept or decline each request is exclusively the centre’s responsibility.
- It remains responsible for requiring the health declaration before diving (Spanish Royal Decree 550/2020, art. 8.3). It may use the one signed on buceo.app or ask for another, and must check the medical certificate when the declaration requires one: it must not let anyone dive who cannot provide it.
- The minimum certification for each dive is shown «or equivalent» (for example, «Open Water Diver or equivalent»): the centre decides whether each person’s certification, from any agency, is equivalent.
- If it downloads documents or health declarations of people who request places, it is responsible for keeping them secure, using them only for the dive and deleting them when it no longer needs them.
- The information about its dives must be truthful and up to date.
- It may only use the data of people who request places to manage that request and the dive, and must process it in accordance with data protection law.
- Agency logos and badges may only be uploaded if the centre is authorised to use them.
- The photos, logos and texts it uploads remain its own. By uploading them, it declares that it has the right to use them and allows buceo.app to display them on the website, free of charge and while they are published, only to promote the centre and its dives.
- It is liable to buceo.app for third-party claims arising from its dives, its service or the content it publishes.
Data the centre manages on buceo.app
The data a person shares when requesting a place is received by the centre as the controller of its processing. When the centre manages it within the website (accepting or declining requests, reviewing documents, viewing the health declaration), buceo.app acts as a processor on behalf of the centre (article 28 GDPR) and undertakes to:
- Process that data only to provide the website’s service to the centre and in accordance with its instructions.
- Keep it confidential and ensure that only the people who need it for the service have access to it.
- Protect it with appropriate security measures (restricted access, encrypted communications, documents in private storage with temporary links).
- Use only the providers listed in the privacy policy, under contracts that bind them to the same obligations, and notify the centre before adding others so that it can object.
- Help the centre respond to those people’s rights and notify it without delay of any security breach affecting that data.
- Delete that data when the centre deletes its account or stops using the service, except what the law requires to be kept, and provide it with the information needed to verify compliance with all of the above.
Health declaration
- To request a place, you need to have signed on the website the health self-declaration of Royal Decree 550/2020 (questionnaire in its annex I) and, if you answer «yes» to any question (except the one about age), a medical certificate of fitness signed by a doctor.
- You sign it by typing your name, drawing your signature and ticking the acceptance box (electronic signature). Whoever signs is responsible for the answers being true. A signed declaration can’t be changed: if something changes, sign a new one.
- On buceo.app the declaration is valid for one year from signing and the medical certificate for one year from the check-up. If the declaration requires a medical certificate, it remains «medical check-up pending» until you add it. If your health changes before then, sign a new one.
- You and the centres where you request a place can view it and download it as a PDF: the official form with your answers and your signature.
- buceo.app is not a medical service: it only stores the declaration, asks for the medical certificate if there is any «yes» (except the one about age) and shows it to the centres where you request a place. It does not check medical certificates. The centre may also ask you to sign it on paper.
Obligations of people who dive
- The data and documents you upload must be your own, truthful and valid.
- Answer the health declaration truthfully. Don’t dive if you are pregnant, under the influence of alcohol or drugs, or taking medication that affects your ability to dive safely.
- You must dive within the limits of your certification, with valid insurance and in adequate physical condition, and follow the centre’s instructions. If you tick in your profile that you’ll take out day insurance with the centre, you undertake to take it out with them before diving (the centre charges for it, not buceo.app).
- Before requesting a place, check the centre’s price and cancellation conditions.
- If you won’t be able to attend a dive, withdraw your request and let the centre know as soon as possible.
Accounts
Only people aged 18 or over may create a personal account; by signing up you declare that your date of birth is true. Dives for minors are not managed on buceo.app: they are arranged directly with the centre. Each account is of a single type (personal or centre) and is personal. You are responsible for keeping your password secret. You can delete your account whenever you like from My account. Accounts not used for 3 years are deleted, with prior notice by email (see the privacy policy).
Proper use and illegal content
It is not permitted to publish false information, impersonate other people or centres, upload other people’s content without permission or attempt to access data from other accounts. We may remove content and suspend or delete accounts that breach these terms, explaining the reason.
If you see content on buceo.app that you believe is illegal or breaches these terms, write to us at contacto@buceo.app stating where it is and why. This is also our point of contact for website users and authorities.
Availability and liability
We try to keep the website always working, but there may be interruptions for maintenance, provider failures or force majeure. We may change, suspend or stop offering the service, giving reasonable notice whenever possible.
As buceo.app is only an intermediary, it is not liable for the dives, the service provided by the centres, payments or the information published by centres or people who dive, which is the responsibility of whoever publishes it.
With regard to centres, which use buceo.app as professionals, and to the extent permitted by law, buceo.app is not liable for loss of income or customers, other indirect damage or interruptions of the service.
None of the above limits any liability we may have for wilful misconduct or gross negligence, or the rights the law grants to consumers.
Ownership of the website
The design, code, original texts, name and logo of buceo.app belong to its owner (© 2026, all rights reserved). You may use the website and share links to it, but not copy it or reuse its content on a large scale or by automated means without permission.
Changes to these terms
If we make significant changes to these terms or the privacy policy, we will notify you by email or on the website before they take effect, and centres will have to accept them again. If you don’t agree, you can delete your account at any time.
Language
These terms, the privacy policy, the cookie policy and the legal notice are written in Spanish. Versions in other languages, such as this one, are translations for information only: in case of doubt or discrepancy, the Spanish version prevails.
Applicable law and complaints
These terms are governed by Spanish law. For any question or complaint about buceo.app, write to us at contacto@buceo.app. If you are a consumer, you may go to the courts of your place of residence.
If any part of these terms were held to be invalid, the rest would continue to apply.
